CSR Activities in JIMS

CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility refers to the integration of social responsibility in any organization. It makes organizations behave in a socially responsible manner. In the past few decades, CSR has emerged as a prominent part of the corporates as well as educational institutes which decide voluntarily to contribute to the society and our environment.


JIMS, MBA Institute in Delhi has also taken up this responsibility very seriously to contribute largely in a positive manner. To inculcate the feeling of social responsibility among the students of the Jagannath International management school, Rotaract Club was established in the year 2012. The club has been organizing a number of programs for weaker sections of the society. Free of cost beautician classes, and sewing and tailoring classes are held to train women from underprivileged category. The classes are held in the campus itself. This program has really equipped the females with the skills to earn a livelihood.

JIMS students also works for its environment. “Clean Delhi Green Delhi”, a cleanliness and plantation project has been implemented for cleanliness of the campus and adjoining areas, and planting of saplings.The members of the Rotaract club took initiative to clean areas around the campus. They also planted saplings in and around the JIMS campus.


JIMS New Delhi Rotaract club also organises Clothes donation camp every year. The donations are openhandedly given by the students as well employees in the JIMS campus and are distributed to the families of weaker sections. The camp is basically organized to fulfill the need for woollen clothes during winter season by the weaker section. Besides, JIMS Kalkaji also organizes “Blood donation camps every year in association with the Rotary Blood Bank. The students, faculty and staff of JIMS largely participate in the camp.

A grand initiative was undertaken by the Chairman of this top b school, Dr. Amit Gupta, who is a prominent Social Entrepreneur. Eight EKAL schools were adopted, which would provide primary education to hundreds of children of the remote villages in India. A splendid ceremony was organized to mark the grand occasion, in which a cheque of Rs. 16 lakhs was presented to Prof. Meena Srivastava who has spearheaded the EKAL Vidyalaya Programme on behalf of the Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad. JIMS has also started an important programme for adoption of orphanages in the Delhi-NCR region. Cash as well as material aid will be provided to educate the needy children.

Considering the CSR activities taken up by various management colleges, JIMS has always been at the forefront and will always continue to do so for the betterment of the society.
